Hello to New Beginnings!

Hiiiiiiii,

As you know, my blog was originally made to keep close friends and family updated on everything that was happening during my time in Nicaragua. Since I have returned, I have decided to continue blogging as a way for me to journal through the next chapter of my life. My blog is mostly just a fun way for me to write down my thoughts and collectively post pictures of whatever crazy thing I might be doing in the moment. Since I am no longer in Nicaragua, the web address has been changed to thelifeofmollyb.blogspot.com So for those of you interested, let's continue this journey!

Although I am a day late, I feel like I can acknowledge that it is a new year, 2013 is over and 2014 has begun. Looking back over the last twelve months, I can honestly say that 2013 was one of the best years I have had thus far. It is funny to think a year that turned out so incredibly, was also one of the most confusing and challenging years as well. I am starting to realize that is just how God likes to work. Reflecting over my 2013 journey, I see many mistakes. I see things that I would do differently if I was given the opportunity. I see projects that I would put more effort into and relationships in which I wish I would have invested more. Despite the list of things I could make that did not go just right, the ways in which God blessed me have unquestionably out-shined them all!

In 2013 I learned what it means to be a true friend. I learned the importance of relationships and investing in each of them well. Within the last twelve months, God has blessed me with the strongest friendships I have ever had. God has revealed the passions that He has placed within my heart and the importance of pursuing each of them. He has taught me the importance of relying on Him for strength each day because I won't make it any other way. He has blessed me in allowing me to pursue my dreams, study, travel, explore and continue to maintain my relationships at home all at the same time. I have learned of new cultures and accepting people as they are. I have learned about poverty in each of its aspects – financial, relational, emotional, spiritual etc. God has taught me that I will never be able to fully grasp what He is doing, but I can fully trust Him in His plans for me. From Azusa, to Santa Cruz, to Corvallis, to Nicaragua, and back again... 2013, you have been good to me!

Here is a tiny flashback of 2013…..

Looking forward to 2014, I am so excited to see what God brings my way. Whatever your resolutions are… whatever your 2014 bucket lists involves… Give It All You’ve Got!

PS.....
I'm pretty positive that 99.9% of you have either thought about or committed to "healthier living" this year - whether it's clean eating, exercising more or just thinking positive thoughts hoping it will help you lose weight... we have all thought about it. And maybe, if you are like me, you have already failed miserably after just two days. But it's not too late! Everyday is another opportunity. Let's make this year different.. Let's start off on the right foot! Get off your butt AND DO SOMETHING.

The 24 Day Challenge is a great way to start off the new year - Check it out! www.togetheraschampions.com
I promise, You won't be sorry!
